چکیده
Optical intelligent reflecting surfaces (OIRS) have the potential to enhance capacity of next generation optical wireless communication systems by re-configuring propagation environment waves. In this work, a submerged OIRS and planar mirror surface (PMS) are used build up non-line sight (NLOS) underwater (UWOC) system. An NLOS UWOC setup, which makes use total internal reflection (TIR) phenomenon, serves as benchmark against OIRS/PMS-assisted compared. With help Mellin inverse transform, Meijer’s G function, Fox’s H-function, closed-form expressions for probability density function (PDF), cumulative distribution (CDF), average spectral efficiency (SE), energy (EE), outage probability, bit error rate (BER) proposed derived. Further, an asymptotic analysis SE is performed illustrate better understanding these system’s performance at high SNR. The simulation results indicate that OIRS-assisted system shows improved in comparison scenario. Additionally, efficient zones deployment analyzed.
